For small trucking companies and freight brokers

Freight fraud protection for small trucking companies

Scammers don’t need to hack your trucks. They pose as your company, take over a load board or FMCSA login, or send a fake rate con to dispatch. The Freight Fraud Lockdown closes the most common openings in about two weeks.

$950 fixed price · up to 10 people · founding price $650 for our first three trucking clients

What’s included

Five fixes that shut the doors freight scammers use most.

Each one targets a real way carriers and brokers lose loads and money: impersonated emails, hijacked accounts, lookalike domains, and rushed changes nobody double-checks.

Authenticate email from your business domain

We configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for your business email domain and phase DMARC to enforcement. This helps receiving providers authenticate mail using your domain; display-name impersonation, lookalike domains, and providers that do not honor policy remain risks.

Lock down the logins that move freight and money

Together on a call, we check two-step sign-in and who has access on your email, FMCSA and Motus, load boards, factoring portal, and bank. You keep your passwords; we walk you through each fix.

Find the lookalike domains

We search for registered domains that imitate yours, like one letter off or a different ending, and tell you which ones are live and worth reporting.

A call-back rule for load and payment changes

You get a one-page procedure your dispatch and office staff can actually follow: who calls whom, on which number, before a load is released, a carrier is set up, or a payment detail changes.

One safe phishing test for the office

We send an authorized fake email built around a real freight scam, like a rate confirmation or a carrier packet, then show your team what to look for. No one gets in trouble; it is practice.

What you walk away with

Proof you can show brokers, shippers, and your insurer.

  • Email-domain protection set up and moving to enforcement
  • Two-step sign-in confirmed on the accounts that move freight and money
  • A list of lookalike domains imitating your company
  • A one-page call-back procedure for load, carrier, and payment changes
  • Phishing test results and a short debrief for your team
  • A one-page summary of what was done, for carrier packets, broker setup, or insurance applications

How it works

About two weeks, about two hours of your time.

  1. Kickoff call

Thirty minutes to learn how your loads, payments, and accounts work, and who needs to be involved.

  2. Email and domain work

We set up email-domain protection and run the lookalike search while you keep working.

  3. Login working session

One hour together going through the accounts that matter and turning on the protections that are missing.

  4. Phishing test and wrap-up

We run the test, walk your team through the results, and hand over the call-back procedure and summary.

Keep your team sharp

After the lockdown

Freight scams change every few months. If you want ongoing practice, weekly freight and logistics training starts at $49/month for your team. For background, read our guides to spotting fake Motus websites and verifying freight payment changes.

Questions

Freight fraud protection questions

Who is this for?

Small motor carriers, fleets, and freight brokers with up to 10 people in the office and dispatch. Owner-operators are welcome. Larger teams get a confirmed quote.

What does it cost?

$950, fixed. Our first three trucking clients pay the founding price of $650 in exchange for an honest testimonial or short case study if they are happy with the work.

We use Gmail or Yahoo, not our own domain. Can you still help?

Yes. Without a business domain there are no DNS records to set up, so we focus on locking down the email account itself, the logins that matter, the call-back procedure, and the phishing test. We will also tell you plainly whether a business domain is worth it for you.

How long does it take?

About two weeks from kickoff. Expect roughly two hours of your time: a kickoff call, a working session on logins, and a wrap-up. Email-domain enforcement is phased in over the following weeks so legitimate mail keeps flowing.

Will this stop double brokering and cargo theft?

Nothing stops every fraud attempt, and we will not pretend otherwise. This makes it much harder to impersonate your company or take over your accounts, and it gives your team a routine to catch fake requests before a load moves or money is sent.

Do we have to replace our IT person?

No. If someone already manages your email or computers, we coordinate with them. Plenty of small trucking companies have no IT person at all, and that is fine too.

Do you need our passwords?

No. For email-domain changes we need access to your domain’s DNS settings, which you or your web person can grant. For everything else, you stay signed in and we guide you.

Verify the broker before the load moves.

Tell us a little about your operation. We will confirm the fit and the price before anything starts.
